The name KD Bear Designs came from a nickname my neighbor gave me growing up. My neighbor, Eve Jordan, has always called me “Katie-Bear” for as long as I can remember. Another influence in choosing the name was my Bernese Mountain dog, Teddy, who we always called “Teddy Bear.” When I got married my initials changed from KP to KD, since KD sounds like “Katie” we decided that was a perfect fit for the name of the business.
